Wiz

New song out by Wiz called "Roll Up". Fresh new leak off his new album, Rolling Papers, which comes March 29th. Again, Wiz just proves to us why hes the one of the hottest up and comers in the game. There's no doubt that Wiz is on his way to the show. Pretty catchy song with some pretty unreal verses by Wiz. Check it out and mark down March 29th on your calenders.

Sammy's Coming Home

Sammy Adams goes hard over the "Coming Home" beat which was originally heard from J. Cole and Diddy. Great use of sampling and sammy proves that he's still got that ill flow. We all know who sam adams is so theres not much else to say. Be sure to check this song out. Boston's boy is coming home..

So Amazin'

New song from Kidz In The Hall. Not gonna write too much right now because I'm currently studying in the library for my exam tomorrow and I gotta get back to work. Nice use of sampling topped off with some smooth flow. If you like what you hear, make sure to peep the download on the link below.

Taylor Gang Goes West Coast

A lot of people have pretty much given up on The Game. I kinda agree with that, but this new tape called Purp & Patron seems to have him back on track. I think that this is one of the subtle signs that Wiz Khalifa has officially made it. Now that he's spitting on tracks with all types of big time rappers he's got the game itchin' in his palm. Taylor Made. Taylor Gang.

Hasta La Vista

Fortune Family is relatively new to the game. They started out as a couple of high school kids based out of Wayne, PA fooling around with different sounds and beats. Shortly after these kids began getting promoted over music blogs just about a year ago. Since then, they have made great strides, improving in every aspect and over just one year have dropped a few dope mixtapes that you should check out. Anyways, this group of young rappers are at it again, hooking up with one of my favorites, Oncue to spit a few bars for them in their latest jam "Hasta La Vista". Since not too many of you know who these guys are, we also posted one of their old songs, "Take Me Away" which samples Annie Little's song, "Fly Me Away" which most of you will probably recognize from the Amazon Kindle commercial. I know, sounds weird now but just listen and you will soon come to realize how well it works out. Fortune Family drops their newest mixtape February 1st so make sure to support this up and coming group if you like what you hearing.

For some reason the link to post this in our blog is not working so just click the YouTube link that follows this and you can preview "Hasta La Vista" before you download it on the link below:

It's Brenton Again

Nothing better to start off your weekend than a few ill beats from Brenton Duvall. It seems like this kid is everywhere these days. After recently dropping a mixtape with Young Prince, Duvall is at it again with this new song "Pretty Little Penthouse". In it, he features lyrics by Tayyib Ali and sampling a song from Michael Jackson. After knowing those three things I was already sold and knew it was bound to be legit. Definitely download this song to start the weekend with a banger. I also posted one of Brenton's other songs that not a ton of people know about just to get you familiar with the type of work this kid is capable of.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis can do no wrong..

Wow. Another song by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis just came out the other day called "Wings". Lately these two have been one of my favorite duos in the game and it seems like its impossible for these two make a bad song. These two are so unique in terms of style, beats and lyrics but somehow it just all meshes together so well. I don't think I've gotten chills listening to any other artists but these two simply because they have so much  emotion and passion in every verse they spit, a trait that is sometimes hard to find nowadays. The begging of the song almost starts off as spoken poetry and then the unreal hook with the childrens choir just absolutely kills it. These two are unstoppable..

Old Song, New Vid

So I'm sure a lot of you have already heard the song, "Irish Celebration" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. If you don't already know them, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have always been known to release some unreal jams. More recently, these two have been making an even bigger name for themselves because of their ability to make incredible music videos like "My Oh My". The videos kinda got a badass Green Street Hooligans type feel to it. Ill song and an ill video, not much else to say about it. Tots I'm sure you'll love this video since your a ging but then again your not allowed on this site anyways. Watch it on the video below and for those of you who don't have it already, be sure to download it on the link below -

Hoodie Ain't Dreaming No More

If y'all don't know Hoodie Allen by now, get out of here. His "Pep Rally" mixtape made our best of 2010 list and sure as hell is a constant banger in my sound system. Here he comes in over another great and unique beat. The hooks nice and the lyrics are tight as usual. So dream up with Hoodie.

Walkin Around

Not too much going on today in the music world. We recently came across the song, "Walkin' Around" by a couple of relatively unknown artists, Dean and Ravo. We were a little skeptical at first of putting it up, not sure what people would think of it. However, we recently came across the official music video they made for it and so we just decided we might as well throw it up here. Music video provides some good visuals and is pretty entertaining to watch. In it, these two just walk around and talk about how hot the girls of NYC are. Check it out -

New Wiz?

This song recently leaked, this is most likely an unfinished product of a song that will be found on his upcoming album that is said to drop mid February. Although as of right now it is a work in progress it definitely sounds like its got some great potential to be a banger. Expect great things from Wiz in his new album, including this jam that will hopefully be in its final form. No download links yet but be sure to check it out and hit up his new album when it comes out -

Sunday Chill

I hope everyone had a solid weekend. I thought it would be appropriate on a Sunday to throw up some chill slower songs to put everyone in a good mood and help you relax as the weekend winds down. Most of these artists are relatively unknown so if you you like what you hear be sure to download the songs on the links found below -

Huey

Another young white rapper looking to make it big is Huey Mack. He reps his home state of West Virginia well with each one of his tracks, displaying some great lyrics and solid beats. The song below is called "Just Me" produced by Big Jerm, impressive for someone who is only 17 years old. This song is from his first mixtape, "Wish Me Luck" which dropped last summer. Since then, he has come out with a couple other singles, including a remix to Katy Perry's hit song "Firework" as well as a new mixtape "Bright Lights and Long Nights". If you like this kid, make sure to support him and download the rest of his stuff.

YP and Brenton Duvall Mixtape

Do not sleep on this soon to be unstoppable duo. With Brenton laying down some of the freshest beats around and Young Prince throwing his lyrical genius on-top of it, there's no wonder that these two can be seen all over the music blogs lately. They just recently dropped their first mixtape, "W.A.R." that you can download on the link below. This tape really displays the work of two young artists that are sure to blow up any minute. If you don't already know Brenton Duvall, make sure to check out some of his earlier stuff like Means Planes and Taylor Gangs, he is sure to impress. Below is a sample of one of my favorites off their new mixtape called "Strange Times". If you like what you are hearing, be sure to download their mixtape. I'm telling you do not sleep on these two, you'll regret it if you do-

"Clap"-Saigon

If you don't know who Saigon is then you obviously don't watch Entourage. However, his apperance on the show back in the day hasn't really helped his stardom, but maybe releasing an album "The Greatest Story Never Told" will. This song is uplifting from a little known rapper. I love the Faith Evans spot on this she tears up the hook. Saigon's flow is too underrated.

My Oh My (Official Video)

The new jam "My Oh My" has only been out for a couple weeks but has quickly become one of Macklemore's best hits thus far simply through the genuine emotion and passion he puts into each verse. More recently, he dropped a brand new music video for "My Oh My". If you are any kind of sports fan, I know you will appreciate this new video as it's visuals so vividly recapture this artist's childhood recollections as a Mariner's fan with Dave Niehaus. I dare you to watch this video without getting goose bumps-

Mac Is Back

New Mac Miller. Those three together are some of the best sounding words any music lover enjoys hearing. In the new song, "P.A.", Mac Miller is featured next to some very established artists like Freeway & Statik Selektah. This kid is continually building up an impressive resume in the music industry. In this new song he is no surprise once again reppin' it for PA. Check him out in the links directly below and if you like what you hear be sure to check out the rest of his stuff by scrolling down to number 5 in the best of 2010 post.

Best of 2010

Pretty crazy that 2010 has already come to an end. With that being said, Space Jams wanted to celebrate 2010's greatness by posting what we believe to be the best jams of the year. We can only hope that the artists mentioned below will be killing just as many beats in 2011. Since this is our first post, we wanted to say thanks for checkin us out and we hope you come back soon.

1. Popular by S-preme. This song was easily one of my top played songs in my itunes for 2010. If you dont already have it, this song is a MUST DOWNLOAD. This Chicago native combines his ill lyricism ontop of a beat which samples the song "wicked" (yes, were talking about the musical). Check it out -

S-Preme - Popular (Download)

2. Power In Attention - Aziz. This kid is an up and coming lyrical genius. In this song he just simply spits fire without the use of any hooks or stops whatsoever. Keep an eye out for this kid in 2011 and whenever his name shows up on a music blog or website, I highly recommend you download it. Check him out-

Aziz - Power In Attention (Download)

3. Hoodie Allen's mixtape, Pep Rally, is no question one of the top 10 mixtapes of 2010. Because of his unreal ability to flow, nice lyricism and prime selection of sampling, Hoodie Allen has become one of my favorite artists. In the song below, "Swimming with Sharks," Hoodie samples VV. Brown's hit "Shark in the Water" and makes magic. The only way to describe it would be if that Blue Oyster shit met that Afghan Kush and they had a baby. And then, meanwhile, that crazy Northern Light stuff and the Super Red Espresso Snowflake met and had a baby. And by some miracle, those two babies met and fucked - this would the shit that they birthed. Yeah...hes that good-

4. 2010 proved to be a great year for the electronic sensation known as dubstep. It seemed like every single one of Ellie Goulding's hits couldn't find a way to hide from a dubstep remix. Thank God they didn't because Jakwob's remix of Ellie Goulding's song "Starry Eyed" had to be one of the best upbeat techno/dance beats of 2010. Definitely worth downloading. The other featured video is another dubstep banger, "Gold Dust Remix" and I highly recommend you listen to it. Its rumored that a kid once played this song in the hospital and his brother woke from a coma.. just sayin. Check it -

Honorable Dubstep Mention: Sunlight - Modestep (Download)

5. Its no secret that Mac Miller, the 18 year old out out of Pittsburgh, PA is the next big thing. For any of you nonbelievers just check out the mixtape he dropped this passed August, "K.I.D.S." and it will speak for itself. When this first dropped I played it on repeat for about a week straight, not even exaggerating. I have been a fan of his stuff even when he was 15 and going by the name of easy mac. From an early age, it was clear this kid was gonna make it big some day. The mixtape "K.I.D.S." is a great representation of his talent and what he is capable of delivering on any type of beat. His choice of sampling and lyrics are what sets him apart from all others in the game. You gotta check him out and if you like what you hear, his success doesn't start or end with "K.I.D.S." you can find plenty of other jams that are just as good in his other albums. Below is the official music video for "Don't Mind If I Do" one of his better songs from the mixtape and not to mention its a pretty entertaining video. Look out for this guy in 2011 -

Mac Miller - Don't Mind If I Do (Download)
Also be sure to check out - Mac Miller - Senior Skip Day (Download)
Mac Miller - Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza (Download)

6. "Uh Huh - You know what it is.." Following along the trend of hot rappers out of Pittsburgh, PA, we find Cameron Thomaz, better known as Wiz Khalifa. Not only are Mac Miller and Wiz both natives of Pittsburgh, they are both now signed with Rostrum Records and will hopefully be dropping some new stuff together in the months to come. It is no doubt that these two will be an unstoppable duo and have proven to rostrum to be a great pickup. In 2010, Wiz dropped, "Kush & Orange Juice" and there its no question that he is one of the hottest up and coming rappers of the year. Ever since his release to Kid Cudi's "Pokerface" he can be found all over music websites. Basically, if you don't already know Wiz Khalifa, you have been living under a rock and should probably leave this website. Wiz is also known for making some great music videos that you should checkout on youtube, below we posted one of his best. Taylor gang or fucking kill yourself..

Best Of 2010 Part Deux

7. Lil' Wayne
For the better part of the year, this musical genius was sitting in a jail cell. However as soon as he got out he released one of the hardest hitting raps songs of the year. 6'7' is quoted to be "A Millie on steroids," and I could not agree more with that assessment. Though Cory Gunz sort of ruins the song at the end, Lil' Wayne rips this beat so badly that your most likely unconscious when Cory goes in. Look for Wayne to smash heads in 2011 when the Carter 4 comes out.
Unfortunately due to copyright the only youtube clip i could get was a sped up version, still goes hard nonetheless.

8.Big Sean
This dude is signed to Kanye's record label G.O.O.D. music...but he's not gonna need Kanye soon. His style is so original, his flow is so different and he is simply the man. If you haven't heard of this dude before, you should check yourself. He released a tape called Finally Famous Vol. 3, it was a pretty up and down in terms of the overall mixtape, but some of the songs on it are MLB(Major League Bangers). Too Fake(with Chiddy Bang), a song for his haters, and Memories a song for all the good and bad. Memories is probably my 2010 anthem, just cause of how dope the year was for me.

9.Oncue
Oncue is probably the best white rapper nobody knows. He doesn't have the mainstream hype that Sam Adams and Mac Miller have but he is just as nice as those two. A lot of what he raps about is less appealing than his counterparts. Due to a rough upbringing, Oncue's raps are a lot more from the heart and more meaningful. But the kid can still rap about taking your girl or he can talk shit. Cuey released two mixtapes this year and both were nasty. Crashing Down is definitely Oncue's best song, as he samples Dave Matthews "Crash Into Me" and turns it into an anthem.

10.Sam Adams
Sammy Adams is one of those dudes that you hate to like, but can't help to rock your head to his jams. 2010 was a HUGE year for "Boston's Boy" as he released a completely original mixtape called Party Records. This tape had Sammy going in on numerous electronic and dubstep songs from the best in that business. This was really a jumping off point for Sammy as it looks like he's poised for stardom. The biggest jam off the mixtape was "Hold On" in which he slaughters the classic Rusko track. Party Records gives you the chance to either bop your head or straight rage, that's what makes the tape so dope.

11.Chris Webby
Connecticut's Webster's style isn't the smoothest and his lyrical content is sometime questionable. However, he still locks you in with his excellent beat choice and swaggerific flow. 2010 was a year when Webby went from just another white rapper to a legitimate artist. He released two mixtapes in 2010 and like his rival Sam Adams began slaughtering dubstep and electro tracks. Though his first mixtape 0f 2010, Underclassmen was leaps and bounds better than his second, Best In The Burbs, he still produced jam after jam. I couldn't decide which of Webby's songs i thought went the hardest so I chose two. Webster goes in on Pretty Lights's jam Finally Moving and he also takes Sierra Leon from Mt. Eden Dubstep and shreds it. I look for Webby to continue making strides in 2011, unless he gets arrested again.
